How to Add a "Make an Offer" Button to WooCommerce (Free Plugin Guide)

Shoppers who think your price is a little too high don't email you to negotiate — they just leave. A "Make an Offer" button gives them a third option between paying full price and abandoning the page: name the price they'd actually pay, and let you decide.

This guide shows the complete setup on WooCommerce using the free OfferDragon plugin. Total time: about five minutes, no code.

What makes this different from a contact form

Most "offer" plugins just send you an email. You accept, then chase the buyer to actually pay — and half of them have moved on. OfferDragon works like eBay's Best Offer, but with a twist borrowed from hotel bookings:

• The shopper's card is authorized at the moment they make the offer — the money is held, not charged.
• If you accept, the card is charged instantly and a paid WooCommerce order appears in your store automatically.
• If you decline (or ignore it for 7 days), the hold is released and nobody pays anything.
• You can also counter-offer — the shopper gets an email with a one-click accept-and-pay page.

Step 1: Install the plugin

1. In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New.
2. Search for OfferDragon.
3. Click Install Now, then Activate. (WooCommerce must be active.)

Step 2: Create your free account and copy the Site Key

1. Sign up at makeanofferpro.com (free).
2. Connect your own Stripe account — offers are authorized and charged on your Stripe, and payouts go directly to your bank. The platform never holds your money.
3. Open the Setup tab and copy your Site Key (starts with mao_pk_).

Step 3: Paste the key into WordPress

1. Go to Settings → Make an Offer in your WP admin.
2. Paste the App URL (https://makeanofferpro.com) and your Site Key, then save.
3. Copy the webhook callback URL shown at the bottom and paste it into your dashboard settings — this is what turns accepted offers into paid WooCommerce orders automatically.

Step 4: Choose which products can take offers

Either tick "Enable on all products" in the plugin settings, or enable it per product with the Enable Make an Offer checkbox in each product's General settings. The button appears on your product pages immediately — styled to match your brand colors, configurable from the dashboard.

What happens when an offer comes in

You get an email, and the offer appears in your dashboard with the amount, quantity, and card status. One click to accept (paid instantly), decline (hold released), or counter. Accepted offers show up in WooCommerce as regular paid orders — stock is reduced, and your normal fulfillment flow takes over.
